ABSTRACT

Nowadays, security is the most important issues that need to be concern of. The security of the data that need to be exchange between two parties need to be high so that the third parties will not able to sniffed the secret data. Due to that, this project will combine Steganography and Cryptography techniques in order to enhanced the security of the secret message and prevent from being read from the third parties. The method that being use in this project is Least Significant Bit where it will be used as an algorithm to hide the secret message and Advance Encryption Standard (AES) will being use to encrypt the secret message.
INTRODUCTION
Steganography is one of method to hide secret message into digital media such as image, audio, video, and text in order to form a stego-image where stego-image is a image that contain secret message.
Cryptography is a method to ensure that the content of the message in unreadable by other third parties. Cryptography will be using an algorithm such as AES, DES and others to convert the secret message into unreadable form. Steganography and Cryptography is two different things where Steganography concern about keep the existence of the secret message and Cryptography is more concern about keep the content of secret message.
Advance Encryption Standard is one of Cryptography algorithm that use to encrypt or convert the secret message into unreadable format. AES is an symmetric-key cryptography where it will use same key to encryption and decryption process.
Least Significant Bit is an algorithm to hide the secret message into an image. Least Significant Bit will replace the right most bit in the binary notation of the image with the bit from the secret message.
